Lou is a dedicated and compassionate therapist who is Internal Family Systems Certified. With a focus on healing the inner critic, addressing spiritual abuse, facilitating forgiveness, and managing trauma and unpredictable family relationships, Lou is committed to guiding individuals toward profound personal growth and emotional resilience.
Lou earned her Master’s in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO, in 2006. She is licensed to practice in Nebraska and Missouri and is also a certified international life coach. Her diverse credentials reflect her commitment to providing holistic and integrative therapeutic approaches.
Known for her warm, empathetic, and intuitive nature, Lou strives to create a therapeutic environment grounded in dignity, respect, and safety. Her approach is centered on helping clients explore their struggles and rediscover their inner strengths and beauty.
Throughout her career, Lou has accumulated extensive experience across various settings. She has served as a birth parent counselor in adoption, worked in community behavioral mental health, and maintained a successful private practice. After spending 20 years in St. Louis, MO, Lou and her family recently relocated back to her home state of Nebraska, where she continues her work with renewed energy and dedication.
Outside of her professional life, Lou enjoys a rich array of personal interests. She loves spending quality time with her family and friends, practicing yoga, immersing herself in biographies, exploring art galleries, traveling, and taking leisurely walks with her Coton de Tulear pup, Javier.
