Lauren Hawkins, MA, LIMHP, LPC

Lauren

Lauren is not accepting new clients at this time.

To even consider a therapeutic relationship is a brave risk. Lauren desires to create safe spaces for the exploration of authentic thoughts and feelings. Our own stories are the markings of our greatest joys and greatest sorrows. She desires to unpack the truth of what has been in one’s life to create a meaningful and sustaining way forward. The courage one brings to a session will be upheld and honored with Lauren. Counseling is a beautiful risk, and Lauren desires to protect and validate the true privilege that space is. She will challenge you, hold tension with you, and help you to find freedom. Lauren believes that hope is feisty.

Lauren received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Doane University. Through this accredited program, Lauren was able to start the foundation of her counseling skills. She utilizes an integration of attachment theory, emotion-focused therapy, internal family systems, and story work throughout the therapeutic process. Lauren has a licensed therapy dog named Indy who is able to join in on counseling sessions upon request. Lauren believes that counseling paired with spirituality can bring the deep healing one longs for. Before entering into professional counseling, Lauren gained experience within college ministry, non-profit management, and leadership within women-owned-and-operated spaces.

When Lauren is not in the office you can find her making new recipes with her husband, taking long walks with Indy, and searching for the best coffee in town. She enjoys any travel that gets her outside of the US, eating food from other cultures, and playing copious amounts of cribbage. Lauren is someone who cares more about who she spends her time with than what she is doing.

Lauren accept self pay, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Midlands Choice, and United Healthcare.
